Carolina Decore and More

I was invited to participate in a new upscale business in Surf City, which had a 'soft opening' May 13th, with the Grand Opening after Memorial Day.  This is Carolina Decor and More

I was to determine which style of "booth" would work for me, so I chose to secure a Wall, instead of a bookcase or a booth, to display my wearable glass art for sale.  Next, I decided on and located fixtures to prepare the wall for service, choosing slatwall and other hardware to upfit it.

If you know me, you know I don't like to pay full price for anything, and fortunately, my local "Displays store" had a sheet (several) of USED slatwall, already painted!  Not a thing wrong with it, either.

I employed (or would that be implored) my macho man to cut and hang the slatwall.  He even measured and cut out for the light switch and outlet, and after all the fuss of MIA studs to screw to, we wound up with a perfect display.

I had to order special necks to hang (at a bargain!), but in the mean time, I bought some local (again sale priced) slatwall acrylic shelves and placed a few small busts on them.  At least I'm in!

My new necks and busts (and other goodies) arrived over the weekend, so I'll be set for the Grand Opening!  Updated photo will follow.

Stop by and see everything the store has to offer ~ you won't be disappointed!
